FuneralShare is a federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to ease the financial and logistical burden of funerals for Muslim families. We are guided by principles of compassion, transparency, and full compliance with Islamic values.
Volunteer-Driven Model
FuneralShare is powered by a dedicated team of volunteers who serve in executive, advisory, and operational roles. A limited number of paid roles—such as admin or technical staff—support essential services to ensure reliability and security.
Financial Transparency
All operating expenses are kept separate from member funeral contributions.
Operational costs are funded through separate fundraising.
Annual expense reports are published for full transparency.
Contributions are stored in the official FuneralShare bank account—no cash handling is allowed.
Governance & Oversight
FuneralShare is overseen by a Shurah (Advisory Board) of respected Ulama and Muslim community leaders across America.
Key roles include:
Board of Directors/Shurah: Oversees strategy and Shariah compliance
Local Masjid Representatives: Help onboard members and support families locally
Accountant: Tracks financial activity and reporting
Legal Advisor: Ensures all policies comply with U.S. law
